The Art-gallery «Vysokae Mesta» opened in September 2015. It is located in the historical center of Minsk on the territory of the Upper City. The building where the gallery is located is a monument of architecture of the XIX century.
Its name Art-gallery «Vysokae Mesta» is not accidental. Since ancient times, the Belarusian land was not «terra incognita» for many Europeans. Its borders were crossed by merchants and diplomats, scientists and ministers of religion, craftsmen and artists. The merchant and artisan settlement of the city of Minsk with a shopping square on the HIGH PLACE was formed. It was an active, lively and popular place. Just there now is a gallery.
Art-gallery «Vysokae Mesta» is a part of the State institution «Museum of History of Minsk», which began its history in 2010. Today, the Museum of the History of the City of Minsk is a large association, which includes ten branches and structural subdivisions.
